Ervin Gonzalez and Patrick Montoya to Discuss Fantasy Sports Litigation, Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, and Other Implications

Gonzalez, a partner with Coral Gables-based law firm Colson Hicks Eidson, will chair HarrisMartin’s MDL Conference on Wednesday, January 27th at The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village. In October 2015, Gonzalez – along with the law firm Lagos & Priovolos, PLLC – filed a class action lawsuit against 50 defendants, including fantasy sports game operators FanDuel Inc. and DraftKings Inc., professional sports leagues, and major media companies and financial institutions alleging deceptive and unfair trade practices, negligence, breach of contract, civil RICO, civil conspiracy, and unjust enrichment.
A board certified specialist in civil trial law and business litigation by the Florida Bar and the National Board of Trial Advocacy, Gonzalez brings more than 25 years of experience in class action lawsuits, having established an impressive resume spearheading multi-district litigation, including as a member of the plaintiff steering committees for the Deepwater Horizon BP oil spill and Chinese Drywall.
